Pet Cafe: No 2 Ngoc Khanh (Just off Kim Ma) Enjoy a coffee while facing your worst fears or embracing your dream pet. This reptile house/coffee shop is definitely unique among cafes in Hanoi and gives customers a chance to get up close and personal with animals they never thought they never would. The list of not so cuddly critters includes: two Iguanas, Frog Eyed Gecko, two Bearded Dragons, two Albino Hedgehogs, a Sugar Glider, a Basilik, a King Snake, a Milk snake, a Vine Snake, a Ball Python, a Burmese Python, two Blue Tongued Skinks, a Chameleon (good luck spotting this one), an Armadillo and last but not least a Squirrel. It was obvious that considerable effort is put into maintaining good living conditions for the residents (even the food gets looked after well, until feeding time obviously). Menu prices here are a little more than average (25k Coffe) but very reasonable when you consider their staggering monthly electricity bill and the effort that goes into caring for the animals and maintaining the terrariums.
