Have you met any in interesting and unforgettable people in your travels? In the 5 days Id been here in Bangkok, I have met so many in the hostel. There was - the very nice Brit who had saved up for months for his trip here and to India, and who looked really nervous the night before his trip to Kolkata. It was a good thing we almost had the same itinerary, so I gave him as many tips as possible - the Malaysian guy who told us that he had met a ladyboy here in Bangkok 10 years ago whom he still hasnt forgotten until now - the Filipino-American whose muscle bulk suggested a career in fitness, but turned out to be a dentist - the Chinese whom we all thought to be shy but who walked up to a massage parlor near Patpong and asked straight up for a body-to-body massage. When he came back to the hostel, he had a dazed look, telling us that the massage girl had gone all the way with him, for free. And she told him she was a virgin, too. and the - über cute Swiss guy who left his country to volunteer as an animal keeper in the highlands of Vietnam, and who has hundreds of photos of spiders, frogs, snakes and other reptiles in his Flickr account. Aside from the food, this is what I love best about Bangkok--the number and variety of travelers you can find here is amazing!
