Peter Jackson turned a great story into some melodramatic, second-rate CG slug-fest without plot or regard for fidelity to the original story. 99% is shot on a soundstage, and the rest might as well have been shot in Dayton, Ohio. Whoever the illiterate schizophrenics were that wrote the screenplay, may they be forced to pen only Chinese restaurant menus for the rest of their lives. I have to go snort bleach and broken glass to scour this withering rot of a memory from my brain. Ugh! #desecrationofSmaug
