Peter owes you one of his awesome posts but hes tired so heres a quick update for now. Adele has a very full day on Friday. Usually her MRI visits are spread out over two days but this time all of her appointments were on the same day. She started at 8 am and didnt finish up until around 330 pm. I had been thinking her teeth werent looking good so they squeezed a dental visit in as well. At her last MRI I really got the impression that her doctor expected our run of stable scans to be over. He never said those words, just told us that all the other kids on the trial didnt make it this far before tumor progression. Im always anxious about MRI day but being home with lots of time on my hands made for lots more anxiety. Then the doctor was running behind so we didnt get the report until right at 3 pm. Thankfully our prayers were answered and her scan was stable yet again. Her doctor said there might even be a very slight decrease in size but it was so small, only about .1 cm change, so they cant call it reduction. We have other good news, she now only has to go to St. Judes once a month instead of twice. It will be so nice not to have to do that trip every other week. It really is exhausting, its a non-stop 24 hours of travel and doctors. The one negative, Adele does have a cavity and will need dental work. Chemotherapy is very hard on teeth and poor Miss Adele did not escape tooth damage. Im thankful that she can get the work done at St. Judes where they know her, they have state of the art facilities and we dont get a bill. I cant begin to imagine how much that bill would be somewhere else. So now we hang out for a month and thank Jesus for what can only be his intervention. Thank you Jesus, we trust in you.
