Petition Background - Flood insurance rates are expected to increase across the county. Florida, especially barrier island residents and business owners, will be more susceptible to the increases due to low elevation and surrounding water. Rates will continue to rise until they reach a point considered actuarially appropriate for the risk of floods. Efforts are currently underway to delay the implementation of rate increases. There are currently 4,197 signatures I signed...we all need to sign! Petition Statement - Notify U.S. elected officials to delay implementation of the proposed flood insurance increases.
