Put together my Devourer frame this morning. Wow, beautiful design. Heres my initial feedback: Likes: 1. Carbon fiber center assembly plates (top, middle, bottom) seems to be similar to Kraken130 design. Excellent spring dampening system to isolate electronics from vibration. Good sizes and locations of precut holes. 2. Retractable arm (for motors) assembly system is light and easy to lock and unlock. Different from Kraken130 design. 3. 30mm arms very strong. Plastic endcaps provide good protection of motor wires. Predrilled holes at the end of arms allow option to thread motor wires above or below frame. 4. Motor mounts seem bomb-proof. Good quality control on the carbon fiber mounts. Holes drilled with correct size and location with no visible flakes or flaws on the cut edges. Dislikes: 1. Automatic landing gear system looks very beautiful. The carbon fiber used for the main legs is glossy, but the whole system is large and heavy. Ive owned and used many (if not all) of Foxtechs retractable landing gear systems and I am very suspect of the servo system. They fail a lot. I would have preferred the pivot landing gear system to be shipped with the system. It will save you weight and much headache later on. (No big deal, Ill put the pair that I have currently on my Mantis X6 on the Devourer) 2. After seeing the high quality of the landing leg carbon fiber, I was a bit disappointed to realize the rest of the Devourer carbon fiber was matte finish. Still very beautiful, but if Foxtech makes this an all gloss carbon fiber frame, it will be truly a piece of art. Maybe Fu and crew will consider. *hint, hint* Great Job, Foxtech! Looks good so far. Will keep you posted on progress of the build as parts arrive. Cheers!
