Thank you for adding me to the group. Grew up in the Arbor Heights area but spend a lot of time in Burien as a kid. Have lived in Burien for Im guessing 25 years now. Heres my concern and Im looking for advise and/or tips from others. I live in a small apartment complex just a few blocks south of 152nd in downtown Burien. Crime problem, sorta. Small apartment building, no on-site manager, owner lives about 20 miles away. Theres a homeless kid involved in criminal activity that takes advantage of the lack of oversight on the property. Bike thief. He used to be caught in the laundry room, sleeping, and I believe hes been trespassed by Burien PD. I always know when hes around because theres bikes or bike parts scattered on the side of the building....and thats quite frequently. Basically, I enjoy my building except for that. I like the area. Im close to everything. I dont want to move...and just doing that is not that easy anyway... I just want the criminal activity to go away. I want HIM to go away. I know theres two issues here.... a social issue, and a criminal activity issue. I just want to feel more at ease and not worry about people who may be lurking around my apartment building. Any thoughts? Ideas?
