Pets Without Parents Luncheon & Quarter Auction LUNCH AT 11:00 On Saturday, October 25th at the American Legion in Mason City, Pets Without Parents are having a soup luncheon followed by a Quarter Auction. Lunch will consist of Minestrone soup, ham and beans with cornbread, a dessert and a drink for $7.00. Big Nathan hot dogs will also be available for $2.00 ea. Lunch will be served from 11:00 a.m. until approximately 1:30 p.m. QUARTER AUCTION AT 2:00 PM For those of you who have never been to a “Quarter Auction” you are in for a fun afternoon. Heres how it works: BRING LOTS OF QUARTERS. You buy a bid paddle for $1 each. (You many buy as many paddles as you want.) Each paddle has a corresponding chip with that number on it and that chip goes into a basket. As auction items are presented, you can bid as many paddles as you wish for the quarter bid. For each paddle you use it will cost you a quarter. (A few items require a 2 or 3 quarter bid) If you wish to bid on the item up for auction you simply raise your paddles in the air and your quarters will be collected. Once the quarters are collected, the basket of chips will be drawn from by our auctioneer until we have a winner. Its fast and fun. BAKE SALE During the event, we will also be having a bake sale. If you wish to donate a baked item, please bring the day of the event. (Ingredients must be listed on your baked goods.) VENDORS In addition to the great food and fun auction, several vendors will be on hand selling various products.
