Pets just amazing!! ANCHORAGE, Alaska– 23-year-old Ben Heinrichs was in a family workshop when a heater ignited chemicals and started a fire. Heinrichs has a dog named Buddy, who was aware of the danger and rushed out of the workshop to look for help. Alaska State Troopers responded to the call but were a bit lost in those many forks in the road. Thankfully, the dog found them and guided them back to the burning house. A dashboard camera from the State Trooper’s car recorded how the dog even looked back and slowed down to check Buddy if they were following him. Heinrichs suffered minor flash burns on his face. The workshop was destroyed, but only some window trim on the house was damaged. The State Troopers are presenting a special award Friday to the dog. Buddy will receive an engraved silver-plated dog bowl in Anchorage.
