Pharez Okpere Tells a personal story of transformation. This is for those who always say of the many international praise for GEJ it does not get to the common man. Yesterday, people sent me Nigerian rice they bought. Today Pharez tell his story. 2 years ago I attended a seminar organized by the Hon. Minister of Agriculture Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, he said Nigeria is the china of Africa, with a population of over 170 million people we are the biggest market in Africa, Demands propell markets, and markets propell production. He said, do you want to remain a lame duck critic or you want to be one of the numerous success stories in the country? We obtained one of the Agricultural grants and started off in a small scale: This year, my brother and I started producing our own locally made chicken feeds, we experimented with hybrid maize purchased from the local markets, and it was a success story, next year we plan to grow 20 hectres to hybrid maize to be used as raw materials for the production of our commercial chicken feeds. In 40 the last 40 years all federal government agricultural grants and subsidies went to the north of the country until the Administration of President Goodluck Jonathan, infact it was even a taboo to appoint a minister of Agric from the south of the country. This is my story this is one of the numerous reasons why I support Goodluck Jonathan.
