Philip k.Hitti a famous non muslim historian and philosopher in rating his top 10 most successful and influential men ever lived on earth, Muhammad (pbuh) was his no.1. He gave his valid reasons. Muhammad ( pbuh ) was an orphan & shepherd without formal education with little means to change a great society of Arabia morally, politically, socially & economically. Despite being a leader of a vast land, he lived poor and died poor. His furniture by the time he died was only a mat and a jug. Though unlettered, the book he came with (Quran) was miraculous and has stood the test of time and stands to challenge man. After 1436 years, it has never had any alterations, it is in harmony with science, astronomy, biology, healthy science, philosophy, oceanology, geography etc as also with details of life in the grave, resurrection , day of judgement, reward n punishment (escatology). The lives of all prophets from adam to jesus (pbut) are all in the quran. Such is a life of a man who changed life for the better for humanity n the world was never to been the same again after his coming. I condemn the taking of innocent lives as it is not the teachings of Islam , but the question of how can someone kill lives coz of a cartoon of a prophet? Will stay longer unanswered and Can only be answered in peoples minds only by those who will resolve to make a comprehensive reading and reseach on the life, message, attributes & legacy of this great man. Muslims try follow his words, actions and silent approvals down to the letter. He means so much to them. He was the final messenger. The people who try to make fun of him bcoz of their right to freedom of speech must evaluate other peoples rights to good feelings as well. Respect to all leaders was the teaching of all prophets including Jesus. We respect our presidents and cultural leaders, why is it difficult for people to prioritise their jokes to avoid bloody confrontations for a peaceful society. U cant earn money from derogatory publications by hurting others. That is being selfish, insensitive and irresponsible in society.
