IMPACT is a technical assistance project, which supports the National TB Program led by the Department of Health, and implemented in cooperation with various LGUs across the country. ♦ ADMINISTRATIVE ASSOCIATE The Tasks: The Administrative Associate is responsible for assisting/supporting in the office administration and operations. She will assist in the efficient and effective discharge of administrative and logistical support functions of the team. The Requirements Education : College graduate, preferably BS in Management, Finance or Accounting Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in admin and finance support, office management, and procurement Other/Special Skills: • Familiarity with PBSP management systems and USAID policies is an advantage • Strong team building/management skills • Excellent writing skills in English • Advanced computer skills, particularly in MS Office software, word processing and spreadsheets as well as the Internet • Strong interpersonal relations ♦ AREA FACILITATOR (North Luzon, South Luzon, NCR & ARMM) The Tasks: Oversees the field implementation/monitoring of advocacy, trainings and technical assistance activities for Local Government Units (LGUs), and Public Private Mix DOTS (PPMDs) and other partners in his/her work area as stipulated in the IMPACT annual work plan and budget. Works closely with the Regional Manager in achieving the goals and objectives of the IMPACT project approved by the Chief of Party and the Cognizant Technical Officer of USAID. The Requirements Education : College degree in Social Sciences, Economics or related field, preferably with Master’s units Experience: At least 2 years supervisory experience with other health related agencies. With expertise in any or all of the following: Institution building, training/consulting, health projects (notably TB), policy advocacy, health systems installation. Others: With good supervisory, training/consulting negotiating and facilitating skills; good verbal and written communication skills; can relate well with all levels of staff, donor agencies, government line agencies and local government units; computer literate ♦ SPECIALIST FOR TB VULNERABLE GROUP The Tasks: Leads the development and scale-up of service delivery models and guidelines for vulnerable groups which include: (1) people living in congregate settings such as elderly, persons with disability and other groups, (2) urban and rural poor, (3) persons displaced by disasters, (4) indigenous people. Provides technical assistance during implementation of the above guidelines to improve implementation of TB control in children and inmates. Works closely with the Component 2 Team Leader in achieving the goals and objectives of the IMPACT project relevant to TB vulnerable groups as approved by the Chief of Party and the Cognizant Technical Officer of USAID. The Requirements Education : College degree in medicine, advanced training in public health (MPH) is an advantage. Experience: At least 5 years experience in program or project management, preferably in TB control programs. Previous work with vulnerable groups (inmates, urban poor, indigenous people, persons affected by disasters) is an advantage. Other / Special Skills : Must be proficient in basic computer applications (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, internet search engines and email); good oral and written communication skills ♦ SOCIAL MOBILIZATION OFFICER The Tasks: The Social Mobilization Officer supports the Community Mobilization Specialist in the effective implementation of the technical assistance package in building the capacity of local partners - NGOs, CBOs and faith-based organizations. She will work closely with NGO partners in empowering the CBOs and faith-based organizations in the provision of community-based TB control program. The Requirements Education : Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in the Social or Behavioral Sciences, Social Work, Health Communications, Community Development or related field. Experience: At least three years working experience in the development sector in community organizing or social mobilization in the health sector. Other//Special Skills: • Good interpersonal, communication and advocacy skills • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Filipino • Familiarity with a Philippine dialect (Cebuano, Ilocano, Kapampangan, Ilonggo) is an advantage • Ability to supervise and manage contractors and consultants • Very good computer skills • Good analytical and report writing skills • Ability to work in a team as well as independently and autonomously • Good knowledge and practice in project cycle management • Knowledge of concepts and practical applications related to TB control is an asset Interested applicants are encouraged to apply early as PBSP reserves the right to fill in any vacancy before the advertised deadline.
