Philistine that I am Im trying to distinguish between Yes I saw the film of the book but did I read the book. I have read Where the wild things are but I couldnt tell you any more about its story than In Cold Blood which Ive also read. The Kos article on banning weekes and which ones are challenged by school supervisors is interesting and fascinating. Are their American schools which where you can find Fifty Shades of Gray in the library or is that a post sixteen college? I did read the Autobiography of Malcolm X and I have to say I picked it up as it was then one of the few books which cast a light on dance halls, jazz bands and early rhythm and blues. The machinations within political groupings which supposedly share the same aims are fascinating and familiar. I havent read Little Red Riding Hood so was unaware that she took her grandmother a piece of cake and a bottle of wine. Which is why a Culver City, California, school banned it.
