Photography competition Terms and Conditions Open for both members and non-members of AIPTIA. Prizes will be awarded under two Categories. 1. BEST VIEW OF CEIF-2013 & CEIF-2014 CEIF-2013 New Delhi and CEIF-2014 held from 9-12thJan, 2014 at NSE Complex, Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai-400 063. 2. VIBRANT IMAGES OF FESTIVALS/ SPORTS EVENTS OF INDIA TOTAL PRIZE MONEY : RS 22 LAKHS For Members of AIPTIA (RS.15 lakhs) 1st Prize Rs.3* lac for each category 2nd Prize Rs.2* lac for each category 3rd Prize Rs.1* lac for each category 30 Consolation Prizes of Rs.5000 for each category For Non-members (Rs. 7 Lakhs) 1st Prize Rs.1.5* lac for each category 2nd Prize Rs.1* lac for each category 3rd Prize Rs.0.5* lac for each category 10 Consolation Prizes of Rs.5000 for each category *Subject to TDS The Contest is open for Indian Citizens only. Entry is free. A participant can Submit maximum of 4 entries per category and can participate in both the categories. As far as the membership of AIPTIA is concerned the following guidelines are also relevant: a) In case of joint stock companies (private and public limited companies), the authorized person as per membership application is eligible to participate. In the alternative, the company may through a Resolution nominate from is establishment, a person, to take part in the contest b) In case of partnership firm, normally the partner whose name is appearing first in the Membership Application is eligible to contest. In the alternative, the partnership firm may nominate from the establishment, a partner/person, authorizing him/her to participate in the contest. Photographs for the awards will be selected by an independent panel consisting of 3 members drawn from professional photographers and noted individuals having keen interest in photography. Receiving applications, sorting them category wise will be done by AIPTIA. Entries will be accepted online from 1st Jan 2014 to 30th Apr 2014. Prizes will be distributed tentatively in the month of August, 2014. Members of the managing committee and staff members of AIPTIA are not eligible to participate in the contest. If there is dispute of any kind, the decision of the jury will be final and binding on all concerned. Any dispute arising out of this Photo Contest is subject to Mumbai jurisdiction only. Irrespective of the number of submissions, an entrant will be eligible to receive only one prize per section. In case the images are not upto the expected Standards the Jury has the right to withhold the prize(s). Copyright of entry photographs is the responsibility of the applicant and AIPTIA will not take any liabilities on this account. AIPTIA may use the photographs for its promotional activities if need be, and the applicants will not have any objection to it. Due acknowledgment of the photographers name will be mentioned for the images that are used by the AIPTIA. The Organizers shall not be held responsible for non-performance and any obligation cast on them by these rules due to the occurrence of any Force Majeure event including any act of God, civil commotion, natural calamity and any other happening, which the Organizers cannot reasonably prevent or control. Only mode of communication will be via e-mail. Scanned files of neg/slides are also accepted. Images should be resized to 1500 to 1600 Pixels on the longer side and uploaded. Size of each file uploaded should not exceed 2Mb. There must be no text / watermark or information of any kind on the image area. Images submitted should not have any kind of borders or design. If any of the images reach the final round, the original digital file (RAW) / negative / slide will have to be sent for verification, failing which the images will not be considered. Original Slides/Negatives shall be returned after verification. The original image should have sufficient file size to make at least an A4 size print.
