Photonic Red Light Therapy Short and Sweet: Acupuncture without needles ________________________________________________________ Scientific: Photonic Red Light Therapy utilizes a one-color, single wavelength light that stimulates Acupoints to accelerate and support the bodys natural healing process. The wavelength that has been proven to be most effective and readily absorbed by body cells is at 660nm. Wavelengths below or above 660nm have their very own benefits but when it comes to acupoint work, 660nm is the way to go. What are acupoints? Acupoints are little nodules (size of a pea or smaller) that are found just under the skin. We find them along the many meridians (energy pathways) within the body, no matter if human, equine, or canine. Every living being has them. Acupoints can actually be visualized with several diagnostic imaging methods. Just to give you an idea of how many acupoints there are in the human body. The human body has about 2000 acupoints which are connected by 20 pathways (12 major and 8 secondary), called meridians. Meridian and Acupoint work has been a major player within Traditional Chinese Medicine for about 3500+ years. I am certain that at some point in our life we have all had the experience of acupuncture. Maybe for pain management, fatigue, weight loss support, etc..... Why using a red light instead of needles? Not everybody is fond of being a living needle cushion (me included) and thats where Photonic Red Light has made its grande entrance. With the red light we achieve the same results as acupuncture but with one difference, no poking and therefore non-invasive. What can we address with Photonic Red Light Therapy? - Wounds, scrapes, cuts, bruises, swelling, inflammation,... - First Aid Intervention (while we wait for the vet to arrive!) - Muscular issues (sprains, strains, tears, spasms, etc...) - boost the immune system - relief pain and discomfort - emotional issues and imbalances - speed up cell renewal - ..... And as I always say, complementary equine or canine therapy is no replacement for veterinary care! :0)
