Photos from Guilin, China, home of Guangxi Normal University where the Sino-American International Research Forum was held. Photos were taken at the main campus location which is on the grounds of one of the feudal princes from the Tang Dynasty. We stayed at the International House on campus with common areas/eating rooms on the first floor, classrooms on the second, student dorms on floors three thru nine and international visitors on 10 and 11. The forum was held in the International House and some shots are shown there. 12 Americans and 12 Chinese faculty/administrators presented their research. One unique feature is that students hund their clothes on railings overlooking the the open air central atrium of International House and in other dorms on campus! Thi included clothes that they washed and clothes that just needed some othe rplace to hang becasue of limited closet space in the dorm rooms. I took several photos of dorms looking from my 10 floor room and saw the same clothes hanging behavior occuring across the 33,000 student campuses.
