Photos from our first international project - for Raywell Contracting of Australia! They contacted us through the website to ask if we were interested in a project in their part of the world and we were delighted to obliged. We were able to lengthen & widen the undercarriage & fit 1500mm pads to a Cat 320DL. Their contact said The extended undercarriage greatly reduces the ground pressure with a footprint 60% larger than a standard 320DL. The undercarriage has been lengthened by 1000mm and widened to accommodate 1500mm wide triple grouser shoes to drastically reduce its ground pressure to 2.9psi, half that of a standard 320DL. This allows the excavator to access swamp and muddy areas, including tailings dams and residue areas, previously inaccessible by a conventional excavator. The modifications have been engineered thoughfully and implemented professionally by JCC Engcon Group using OEM components where possible to maximise reliability and minimise downtime. The engineering looks very well planned and executed, so good that some didnt pick what was standard and what was modified.
