PhysCap are so thrilled to share the latest news from one of our little stars - Lara :) Lara has Cerebral Palsy along with a range of conditions. She was born 7 weeks premature weighing a mere 3.2lbs. Shes had a lot of struggles in her young life already from physically being unable to join in with her peers and make her body do what she wants it to as well as mentally coping with lots of surgery and simply worrying about things a child shouldnt have to even consider! Through it all Lara has shown such strength and will power to remain such a happy, friendly girl with a positive attitude and a truly infectious smile on her face. A few weeks ago Lara took part in the local schools mini Tour de France and she was selected to represent her school :) Laras mum Kat works for the Body Shop at the Train Station in Leeds which re-launched last weekend. As part of this re-launch they allowed the store to select a local charity to support for the year. Kat automatically thought of us as in 2012 we helped Kat and her family by purchasing a trike for Lara. Heres some pics from the day.
