Physical affection can be a touchy subject:) We often assume our dogs enjoy our touch however that is sometimes just not the case and in fact our touch could have the opposite effect than what we intended. Our dogs can also only enjoy touch only in certain situations or only on specific parts of their bodies. This video by the amazing Dr. Rise VanFleet does a good job at explaining just that and what I love about it is that it demonstrates how at all times the dog has a choice whether to stay in the interaction or to move away.
