Picked this little girl up on Wednesday. She was on Florida Blvd and clearly someones pet that just managed to get loose. Clean (no fleas) and with a collar but no tags. I looked for signs in the area over the next couple of days as well as posted many ads online and in the paper and notified animal control along with details in case the owner went there to look. No one has come forward so its time to try and find her a new home. Heres what I know... Shes young, maybe 6 months old but almost house trained, only one accident thus far and that was my fault. Shes NOT aggressive with people, other dogs and cats. although she is underweight she is not aggressive with food. LOVES WATER, drinks everything I put down. Shes a puppy and wants to play and wants your attention. Very quiet and although did not seem familiar with a crate, did not whine during the night. Just now finding her voice as far as barks go. Likes squeaky toys. Did very well on a leash. She is a mutt. Mouthy like a Pitt. Licks everything. Hasnt chewed on anything. Favorite spot - under your feet. She will need to see a vet. Looking for a good home. There will be a small adoption fee. The adoption fee is that you will need to HAVE WITH YOU AT TIME OF PICKUP THE FOLLOWING: a leash, a large bag of puppy food (28lbs or larger), one durable squeaky/chew toy, 3-6 months of flea preventative and a name tag with your contact information on it to go on her collar, which is in new condition, at time of pickup) to assure she is truly wanted. No exceptions. All of these things can be attained at PetSmart and Petco. Pickup will be in Central in the evening as I work days. Additional photos will be posted as comments.
