Picked up a compilation book for Lovecraft this Season, it has 10 of the big stories everyone on the light/right side of Mythos like to talk about. I started into it yesterday progress so far and initial opinion: I just finished reading Herbert West - Reanimator... any one else read it? Anyone going to be mad if I comment on it? This is that spoiler warning part so yeah, for those who havent read it and want to; keep on scrolling ;) The one constant that comes to my mind is that for a Neonate necromancer or would-be Doctor Frankenstein, West never learned from the first mistake or indeed any of his mistakes. When creating artificial life you must keep it in a place where it cannot get out and destroy them each time. For horror it seems more like mad scientist 101. Rather dull read all things considered. Next on the plate is The Rats in the Walls.
