Pics from the river rescue yesterday outside Santa Cruz, Bolivia from our friends at the Unidad Urbana de Bomberos y Rescate (UUBR). Flash flooding stranded 33 people on the opposite side of the river with no way back. UUBR, along with FUNSAR (another rescue agency) performed a great rescue with multiple elements including: a boat on a tether, shallow water crossing in current, multiple downstream safeties with throw bags and all the skills they learned in advanced water rescue class. Love the life jackets on the victims! Awesome work everyone!!!
