Picture this: People from across the world immigrate to the US and begin forcing us out of our homes, massacring whole towns and cities, lining American families up against walls and shooting them one by one, and then burying them in mass graves. They destroy our cities. They rape women and young girls. There are stories of them ripping open the stomachs of pregnant women and ripping out the fetuses before killing the mothers. Families, afraid for their lives, flee in hopes of surviving. We are forced to live in schools and churches and on the streets before settling in refugee camps far away from our homes, and nowhere near as comfortable. The United States of America is no longer the United States of America and now belongs to these people, and were made to feel like unwanted guests sequestered into refugee camps and American only areas with barely running water and inhumane conditions. We have to stop at checkpoints every time we go to work or school or friends houses. Our army is disabled and we arent allowed to organize any sort of resistance, because fighting this invasion would make us terrorists in the public eye. Were not allowed to go back to the hometowns that we were forced to leave. We must carry special identification with us at all times because we are constantly subject to harassment by this invader army which comes to our cities and refugee camps to disrupt our lives on a daily basis. Every one of us will watch someone we love be killed and/or imprisoned at some point in our lives. In reality, this would never happen, because the US would never tolerate such an invasion of their land, and no one would condemn the US for resisting such an invasion. Funny though, how Israel is able to get away with this, with the full support of the United States. Today marks 66 years since Israel was created on the ruins of my ancestors ethnically cleansed towns. 66 years of injustice, oppression, illegal military occupation, and media manipulation. I dread May 15th every year, because it means that another year has gone by with my people living under a mixture of the Jim Crow South, Apartheid South Africa, and Nazi Germany while the world cheers Israel on for fear of being called anti-semitic. My people pay for Europes sins with their blood.
