Pig care tips! Any of our current pig owners will be able to tell you pigs have naturally dry skin. If left unattended it can get uncomfortable for them. Their skin will scab and if left can lead to cracked and bleeding sore spots. Unfortunately for them they are prone to flaky dry skin so we just have to do our best to help them. If youre looking to provide some long term relief for their itchy backs this is what we suggest. We like to rub our pigs down with coconut oil. Itll warm up when its on their skin and sink in and keep them moisturized for weeks. We then exfoliate to help get rid of dry skin and scabs using brushes or for bigger fellas with more surface area...whatever works!
