Pink Teddy is on his way home. Well it certainly has been a remarkable few days for Pink Teddy, Lost in the toilets in Dublin Zoo on Sunday last ,heartbroken 4 year old Clodagh Parker arrived home to Youghal on Monday without her favouite toy . Her parents Lorraine and Darragh reassured her that Pink Teddy was off having an adventure in the Zoo and that he would be posted home in a few days . Meanwhile the duo frantically started a social media campaign to get Pink Teddy safely home. Featuring heavily on the CRY104fm facebook page where it reached record numbers of people, the campaign really took off when social media expert Andrew Murray started a twitter campaign in Dublin under the #getpinkteddyhome . The post started trending on Tuesday night and was picked up by the Irish Daily Mirror on Wednesday who ran a full page spread on Thursdays paper . It was here that Mallow man Con Sheehan saw the article and contacted the Patricia Messenger show on Corks C103 claiming that he had Pink Teddy after finding him thrown on a green in the Zoo on Sunday afternoon and he picked him up for safekeeping. The station duly contacted Community Radio Youghal CRY104fm who put them in touch with Lorraine and Darragh and after a brief chat with Con the parents were satisfied that the bear was indeed Pink Teddy. In what is a curious twist of Fate, Lorraine who originally hails from Buttevant in North Cork was able to direct Con to her sisters workplace in Mallow and where Con has since safely delivered Pink Teddy who will shortly be reunited with his four year old owner in Youghal.
