Pink Texas Fourball - McGrath Day 2014 Kiama Lady Veterans promoted a Pink Texas Fourball on July 12 in aid of The McGrath Foundation. Members and visitors supported the day with 198 players taking to the fairways and supporting the raffle held for the event. Generous sponsors donated prizes for the raffle including Lakeline Butchery, Kiama Lady Veteran golfers and the McGrath Foundation. Kiama Men Veteran golfers generously supported the day with a cheque for $200 and the Fishing Club contributed $50. Many teams dressed in pink vying for the best-dressed pink team that was won by the Burgess family from Sydney Great assistance was given by many of the club employees to help make this day a success and we thank the following for their generous support ; • Mark and his team for the pink logos, cups and flags • Elle for the pink retail display in the pro shop • Pro shop staff for helping get this large field through • Shaun for his sterling effort on the 10th tee raising $399 • Deb and Bev for the liaison with the McGrath foundation and sponsors • Bar and restaurant staff for extra support on Friday night and Saturday Thank you also to Iris Simms who braved the cold to sell raffle tickets. The amount raised for the McGrath Foundation was $ 3,161, a great result! Thank you to all the members and visitors who supported the golf day and to the many social members who supported the raffle.
