Pitt County Update Courtesy of Pitt County Public Information and Media Relations: Pitt County Government Offices will be closing at 3:00p due to the impending inclement weather. There are currently no plans to activate the Emergency Operations Center (EOC), and citizens are asked to shelter in place. Due to potentially hazardous driving conditions, Pitt County urges citizens to limit travel, and to be aware that emergency response may be delayed. The Capital Budget Workshop scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 29 at 10:00a has been rescheduled for Monday, Feb. 3 (following the regularly scheduled Board of Commissioners meeting). The workshop will be held in the EOC. Citizens are asked to stay tuned to their local news stations for weather related information. Pitt County Government delays/closings will also be posted online at pittcountync.gov, via Twitter (@PittCountyNC), and on PittTv 13.
