Plant wilt is a normal response to high temperatures and scorching sun. As long as the soil has appropriate moisture levels, outdoor plants should be able to handle summer conditions naturally. They wilt in the afternoon as a way to avoid losing precious water, then perk back up as evening and cooler temperatures arrive. Try to avoid overwatering to combat wilt. It can actually make the situation worse.
