Ayion Omoloyiton Cultural Workshop is a non-government organisation and is involved in activities concerning culture, history and arts. It has 9 years of experience in small-scale research, education activities and performances. Theatre and music are in the agenda for local youths through newly established teams. Its activities vary from local to international with an emphasis on the involvement of youths and younger children in cultural activities, mostly involved in the local neighbourhood. The tasks and activities of the volunteers are constructed in the way to accommodate two main issues: the intercultural aspect and the disabled care and special education component. In this sense, the volunteers will include but not be limited to it, as the volunteers will be encouraged to bring their creative initiative in daily activities. Moreover, the volunteer will have the opportunity to assist the therapeutic practices at the Anemoni Day-care centre, be involved in other recreational activities with the children and also take care of the space in general in order to create a more colorful and positive environment for the children. He/she can also be involved in the events/festivals organized by the Cultural Centre Politistiko Ergastiri, promotion of European programmes to the local community.
