Pleasant Grove Historical Society https://facebook/groups/156970454468433/ Piedmont Miniature Golf Course *Where the Piedmont Miniature Golf Course was just east of Jim Miller on Scyene, was once mostly marsh land and sloughs from several creeks crossing the area. There was a CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) camp at the corner of Jim Miller and Scyene - the main camp was at Mesquite. Jim Miller Road originally angled east along what is now Millerdale, and approximated the wagons road and trail on the ca 1890-1900 maps. Jim Miller was not opened and paved from Scyene south to Bruton Road until about 1940 (A WPA Project) and that required substantial cutting through the limestone. **Men from the CCC Camps worked on many infrastructure projects. There were gravel pits located directly across the road that were probably used in the construction of the main roads. Sources: * M.C. Toyer ** Norma Davis 2013 Map: Google
