Please, Governor. Do not rescind the tax credit to the film industry. Raleigh and Charlotte are two of the biggest earners in the state and one of those two (Charlotte) will find itself lost without that credit being left in place or at least a comparable credit (Maybe 20% instead of 25%?) as it will surely crush the Eastland Mall area project to dust. With over half of the top rated Neilsen shows coming out of North Carolina currently, there is absolutely no reason to think that rewarding them for bringing that attention to North Carolina isnt in order. There is absolutely no reason to think that moving the film industry to Atlanta would be good for the state in any way, shape, form or fashion. Final thought: Should you choose to rescind the tax credit to the film industry, my family and several other families from NC will be leaving the state to its own devices. Please consider that these moves that lose the state money, will make us leave under your leadership instead of staying and singing your praises to the constituents come voting booth time.
