Please Join This Important Online Event! #Vancouver #Blackfish On Monday, Nov 24, Vancouver Park Board Commissioners will hold a vote that will decide the fate of the citys bylaw that would ban the breeding of captive cetaceans. Although heralded as historic by the WDC when it was approved unanimously in July, Park Board Chair Aaron Jasper has now turned his back on the bylaw and is recommending that it not be enacted. This would effectively kill the bylaw all together. Two of his commissioners, Sarah Blyth and Constance Barnes have vowed to break ranks with their Chair and say they will instead vote to enact the bylaw. They are taking a stand on principle for the whales, because it is the right thing to do.
