Please Me… Men and women of God I just want to send an encouraging word to you this morning that sometimes we in this busy world can get a little unfocused or off track because we forget why we do some of the things that we do. We want to keep friends, make friends, please people, make everyone happy, get along with everyone, never have confrontation or sometimes even lie to keep the peace. Hmmmm. God says, what about pleasing me? When we chose to want to please people more we are considered people pleasers and our feelings stay disappointed and hurt. We focus so much on doing, doing, doing to please everyone that other areas of our lives go lacking and aborted. We cannot do this. Its much easier said than done, but take time to evaluate your own walk, your own life and see where you fall short in this area. Its good to put others needs above yours, that is not what I am saying, but once you become a people pleaser you take your eyes off of pleasing God because people matter more. Thats when its a problem. I can only tell you what I know. God is saying, what about me? We love to have friends, and people like us, even when sometimes they are not the best for us. We will allow people to come into our space and use, abuse, mistreat, take advantage of us and we say nothing because we desire their relationship or to have company. The devil is a liar. Everyone is not meant to be connected to you. You can be cordial without being connected. We need to stop trying to hang on to things that God wants us to release. When you release it, My God! When you truly release it and watch what God will do with it. You will wonder, why in the world did I hang on to it for so long? God pleasers. Please God and in return you will please some men and some you wont, but your ultimate goal should be pleasing the Father in all that you say and do for and in the kingdom. I want to encourage you again this morning to be a God pleaser and stop being a people pleaser seeking for mans attention and approval. God has already validated you. You do not need any man or woman to validate what God has already done. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. You are uniquely designed by God for purpose. So dont go another day allowing others to dictate how you walk, talk, breathe, move or live; its time you trust God for yourself and move on His voice. Amen! Have a blessed day all!
