Please Read This .!! Some Christian asked Why do Muslims make circumcision if Quran didnt mention it? The Answer is very Simple: ** Why Quran need to mention about it since Jews and Arabs practice circumcision from the day of Prophet Ibrahim (pbuh).? ** ;) Anyway here is the explanation according to my knowledge:- Allah Says in the Quran: Then We revealed to you: Follow the ways of Ibrahim, the True in Faith, and he joined not gods with Allah. (Surah An-Nahl 16:123) It is the religion of your father Ibrahim (Islamic Monotheism). (Surah Al-Haj 22:78) First Hajj rituals was performed by Prophet Ibrahim (pbuh) and Prophet Ishmail (pbuh)and His Mother Hajar, Tawaf, Sa’i and Prayer. Circumcision - A ritual performed by Prophet Ibrahim (pbuh) and His Sons Ishmail (pbuh) and Ishak (pbuh). Which was followed by Jews and Arabs. It was Prophet Ibrahim (pbuh) who climbed on Mount Arafat and called out in his loudest voice, O People! Verily Allah has prescribed upon you Hajj, so perform Hajj. called for Hajj. To this very day almost two billion Muslims continue to answer the call of Prophet Ibrahim (pbuh) Abdul-Muttalib circumcised Muhammad on his seventh day as was the custom of the Arabs. [Ibn Hisham 1/159,160; Zad Al-Maad 1/18; Muhadarat Tareekh Al-Umam Al-Islamiyah 1/62] You read it in the Sealed Nectar... Pls search in Google ;) According to some hadith Prophet Muhammad (saw) circumcised his grandsons Hasan and Husain on the seventh day after their birth. Although the word circumcision is not mentioned in the Quran explicitly ** BUT it explicitly command us to follow the way who performed it.** Circumcision is mentioned in the hadith and the sunnah. Prophet (saw) said: “Prophet Ibrahim performed his own circumcision at the age of eighty” (Bukhari and Muslim) Prophet (saw) said: Circumcision was a law for men and a preservation of honor for women (Abu Daud and Ahmad) There are five things that are of the nature (i.e., of the natural hygiene - “Fitra”): removing the pubic hair, circumcision, trimming the mustache, removing the underarm hair, and cutting of the nails (reported in all the six authentic collections of Hadith). It is well known that circumcision is an act pertaining to the fitrah (pure human nature). Some Muslim scholars consider it as a confirmed Sunnah. Other scholars consider it mandatory. ** “The Qur’an consistently enjoins upon the faithful their duty to emulate the Prophet (saw), to follow his fine examples, and to obey his orders :- Allah Says: Say, (O Muhammad), If you should love Allah , then follow me, [so] Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. Say (O Muhammad SAW): Obey Allah and the Messenger (Muhammad SAW). But if they turn away, then Allah does not like the disbelievers. (Quran 3:31-32) The Prophet (saw) is not a postal-delivery man who simply brought us the Qur’an; rather he has also been entrusted with the task of explaining its teachings to us; thus the Prophet (saw) not only explained the Qur’an in theory, but also by putting into practice each and every ideal of the Qur’an. He was Qur’an personified. Allahu Alam
