Please attend and speak at this meeting. This is our best, last chance to improve the fees, and the safety between the user groups on our trails. We are proposing that the fee structure be amended to provide licensing of all regular users( bikers, equestrian, runners, whatever) of the multi-use trails with a free or very nominal fee. This will provide the FPDCC with a data base that can provide them with the means to formulate some sane and reasonable safety rules and communicate them to the user groups. In the current system only the equestrians pay and read the rules of the road There is no way to identify or communicate with all of the mountain bikers, cross country running teams or new user groups that may develop in the future. It would also correct the unjust antiquated system that taxes only one user group on the multi-use trails. It would improve the communication and cooperation between the users groups. It would start to correct the damaged public relations caused by poor communication with the FPDCC. The Forest Preserve meeting starts at 6 p.m., that is the meeting you must register for.. Please encourage everyone you know equestrian, casual users, anyone to attend and help us with this. Please speak, even if it is one sentence indicating your support, otherwise the commissioners will not know why you are there.
