Please call your state rep today! Rep. Kafka is filing an amendment to the House budget that will exempt the new Homeless Animal Prevention and Care Fund from being assessed indirect costs. What does this mean? More money for the animals! We estimate that approximately 900-1000 more spay/neuter surgeries each year will happen if this passes. What you can do: Please call YOUR state representative ASAP to co-sponsor this amendment. Co-sponsors need to sign on by end of today -- Friday, April 11th. If you do not know who your state representative is, please visit wheredoivotema (look for Rep. in General Court). Then, ask your state representative to contact Rep. Kafka’s office to sign on to his “Homeless Animal Fund” amendment. Questions? Email [email protected].
