Please check out this well produced video from the Miami-Dade Water & Sewer Department. Your meter reads your consumption in thousands of gallons instead of cubic feet, but everything else on the video is the same. By the way, all but about 50 meters in our system are read automatically using radio technology. Misreads are less likely, because of that system, but you may rarely see a technician approach your meter by foot unless service is required.
