Please excuse my demo dolls lack of knees. Youll see what I mean... they make it hard to get a nice M position with each knee up above bottom. However, you CAN see how to make half a tablecloth and two sling rings into a ring sling. No, the shoulder will not fall apart; you need to thread about a foot/30cms/12 inches through the rings so the short tail is held in place under the long tail, as you can see when I lay it over my shoulder. Its very secure with my 8kg demo doll and with Audrey (12 kgs). If you are at all concerned about safety you can double thread the short side back through the top ring to totally lock it, but its not necessary. Please note: the fabric Im using is a bottom weight (thats heavy enough to make pants from) 100% cotton thats woven and has a good diagonal give. This is a tablecloth from Spotlight (aus) but there are great options at Ikea (Kura fabric is a good weight) and Mahogany tablecloths on Amazon are AWESOME for DIY.
