Please for a minute forget about the fact that this is the Oscar Pistorius trial and just focus on what i am about to say here... Any comment regarding Oscar will be deleted. I can not understand how sentencing on any criminal offense can be taken so lightly, and so badly researched by a correctional services social workers. What about the lesser known cases of rape, murder, armed robbery, drug and human trafficking etc. This is an alarming realization in regards to our legal system. I do agree with the fact that the sentencing has been based on what the court ruled at judgement, BUT surely the man should know the merits of the case before he can recommend any type of sentence at all. What about the cases that arent televised? We will never know about serial murderers and rapists that go free based on sentencing that was so badly interpreted. It scares the hell out of me. #MaringaAsPrimeExample
