Please get behind this mum who needs some advice on behavioural issues, hang in there, you are definitely not alone xoxox Hello, i was wondering if you could please post a question for me - im really struggling at the moment My little guy (ex 32 weeker) has seemingly developed some behavioural issues - over the past few months (hes almost 14 mths - 12 corrected) we are finding it increasing difficult to get his attention, he doesnt consistently look at us in the eyes, hes not as affectionate as he was (except when hes a bit tired or sooky). Hes not pointing, waving. He doesnt seem to care whether im there or not (his primary carer). He wont hold food in his hands - but will let me feed him with my hand. Weve been to the GP and are in the process of getting hearing tests (very hard on a baby!), but are getting a referral back to our paed (who is a developmental paed). I was just wondering if any other parents have or are dealing with this? Ive been doing a lot of reading and im aware it could be ASD, but I was wondering if it was possibly just a developmental delay thing? Any advice would be great, im just really struggling as im feeling very alone.
