Please help - how much would this horse be worth in this market South East Qld. We need to sell him. We have advertised him with no takers as yet. He is a chestnut, 16.2hh Thoroughbred gelding. He has done primarily showjumping with us. He has competed at dressage, hunter trials and show jumping events as well as sporting (giggle - sporting was not his best suit but still he did it). He is currently out of work and does need to be brought back into work again to get the most out of him. Currently out of work he has forgotten what leg aids are and the worst he does is break to canter (a ridiculously slow rocking horse canter) when asked to move onto an arena fence. He is perfect in groups and on trail still. He is not a hot or silly horse but does need a competent rider as he is strong. You can ride him loose rein or gather him up and he will come on the bit nicely. When in work he is a fantastic jumper and has jumped 1.5m at home. At shows he has done slightly lower. Cross country he has done 90s not competitively and has done 70s competitively and did well. He has competed in prelim dressage but we have not really pursued dressage. He is quiet and bold he will do anything you ask. Prices???
