Please help Donner get the help he needs before it is to late. Donner needs a New Hope Partner to step in and save him before noon tomorrow when he will be gone forever... A volunteer writes: Donner was found tied to a fence. Hes an older dog, and sems to come with some health concerns. I leashed Donner easily, talking to him all the while as I wasnt sure how much he could see as he has some problems with sight. He needed a bit of coaxing to leave his kennel, but stepped down carefully and out we went. He took care of his business as soon as we were outside so is likely housetrained, and then walked slowly and perfectly by my side as we went around the block. Donner loves treats, takes them gently, and the sniff of a good treat kept him focused for some pictures. He was happy to receive some easy petting, his tail giving a few short little wags. Donner is a nice dog, his medical conditions clearly neglected but nonetheless friendly and happy to share some time with a friend. He needs a person or family who will attend to his needs and I suspect he will be a loyal companion for years to come.
