CONTACT is a non-profit disability resource center for all forms of disability, both physical and cognitive. Our mission is to improve the condition of life in West Central Georgia and the Chattahoochee Valley by creating a coherent, well-coordinated community of people with disabilities and to provide and promote services that enhance the quality of life of all citizens with disabilities. We provide resources to individuals that are looking for everything from continuing treatment to continuing education. We also offer workshops and seminars to assist in community re-entry and job placement. Our partners include The Autism Hope Center, The National Federation of the Blind, The ARC of Greater Columbus, NAMI, and the Shepherd Center of Atlanta, Ga. We serve as a temporary incubator for other non-profits dealing with disabilities by offering office space and space to facilitate meetings/events and prepare them to become a self-sustained and service oriented organization. By having these many resources under one roof, we hope to be able to improve access to a productive and independent life much quicker than traditionally seen.
