Please join in on the celebration Sunday (tonight) at 5:30. We have arranged for the Team Charter Bus to be escorted back to town. People assume KAU stands for Kennett AND Unionville, but that is not the case. When the league was founded over 50 years ago is supported the three local communities ? Kennett Square, Avondale and Unionville. To honor the team these same three communities have come together and their fire companies will lead the motor brigade back to Kennett Square. We are asking for the community to come out and join the celebration. We will meet at the KAU complex on Leslie Rd (off Rt 82) at 5:30 PM. We will have a tailgating atmosphere with music etc. Please bring some food and beverage of your choice. We will then migrate up to State Street (park in the garage) and line the street as the bus passes through town in style. The convey will make a slight detour to the Red Clay Room to do a drive by during a major fundraiser for the Fire Company with over 300 local community figures. The guests will come out and honor the team. (This will allow all of us to get back to the KAU fields). Then the bus will make its way back to the KAU complex off Route 82 where we will all be waiting to celebrate their return. We will introduce the players and briefly celebrate.
