Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers. I was in a car accident that wasnt my fault last month and my back was injured. My car insurance was supposed to send me to a back specialist and pay for the medical bills. Unfortunately, no back specialists will take payment for medical bills from car insurance. I am a 100% service-connected disabled Iraq War veteran (the highest disability rating the Veterans Administration gives anyone) so I next tried to get seen at the Phoenix VA Hospital by a back specialist there, since they cover me medically 100% because of my disability rating. There arent any back specialists at the VA Hospital. The VA Hospital in Phoenix is a large Regional VA Hospital and is supposed to have any type of medical care you need. My VA Primary Care Physician sent a referral to the VA department that approves non-VA back specialists and told me that department still might not approve me. I told her I DONT have anywhere else to go to get my back taken care of and I certainly cant afford to pay out of my pocket--again, the VA is supposed to cover me for everything, especially with my 100% disability rating. I really need all of your positive thoughts and prayers that I will be approved to see a non-VA back specialist. If I dont I will have to go through the chain of command at the VA Hospital which will delay my back getting taken care of and my back really needs to be checked out. Im in alot of pain. Also, I may not be on FB as much while I try to get taken care of--so wanted to let you know that too. You are all in my thoughts.
