Please note: all the pictures I have found were from the internet/Pinterest. Some of them were from Brady Stewart collection, Pitt Archives, Carnegie library and from an individual named, Douglas Haney who donated photographs to the SteelCactus Foundation. As I stated previously, I am not a historian. I just love my city and love to do research as I wrote on some previous posts: While I was a student at Carlow University, during my senior year I enrolled in a history class “Cities of Pittsburgh, New York and Chicago.” Also, I have found many of these pictures on the internet/Pinterest from the books from this class as well as my notes from the Professor who provided names of places. I have tried to participate in this group and do what I think this group is about: share things about Pittsburgh. If a picture is on the internet or Pinterest then it’s free domain to anyone; unless you were the one that personally took the photograph. This is my opinion. I have never written anything inappropriate under anyone’s post; so I would hope “one’s passive-aggressive comments” please stop. Thank you. Below are the books which were required for my class: Tin Stackers: The History of the Pittsburgh Steamship Company by Al Miller, Ron Miller Downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (Images of America Series) by Stuart P. Boehmig Pittsburghs Immigrants, Pennsylvania (Image of America Series) by Lisa A. Alzo, Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh New York, Chicago, Los Angeles: Americas Global Cities by Janet L. Abu-Lughod
