Please note the page has new moderation rules. Thank you for your continued support - Admins Moderation guidelines This page was created in response to Thanet District Council allowing the export of live animals from the Port of Ramsgate. This trade has since moved to Dover and we continue to campaign to stop this abhorrent and unnecessarily cruel trade. This campaign page allows us to share information and welcome supporters and we’d love our page to reflect this. There are so many important messages to get across and discussions to be had; we’ve got a few guidelines to ensure all the important information doesn’t get lost. 1) Please don’t post any: • A) violent, obscene, profane, hateful, or racist posts, links or images • B ) comments that threaten or defame any person or organisation • C) comments that suggest or encourage illegal activity • D) multiple successive off-topic or disruptive posts • E) repetitive posts copied and pasted or duplicated • F) abusive language of any sort – will result in a warning/ban • G) comments which derail the campaign intentionally or otherwise We reserve the right to delete any of these types of comments, and/or ban any user who infringes these guidelines. In addition to this, individuals who seek to persistently antagonise our supporters, and accounts which are suspected to be false profiles created with the intention of breaching a ban and persistently antagonising supporters, will be removed from the page. If it is abundantly clear that a user has no intention of positively contributing to discussions, combined with an abrasive, combative attitude, they will be banned. We will be putting in place the following moderation plan- 1) Formal Warning – You will be advised about the rule broken and given a warning. 2) Temporary Ban – If this is ignored, a temporary ban will be placed for a set period of time (this will be advised) 3) Permanent Ban – You will not be able to view the board Personal Attacks In order to maintain a positive atmosphere, no personal attacks or insults will be tolerated. While discussions may become heated, it is not an excuse to result to attacks or insults. When the line is crossed, the discussion may be closed by the moderation team. Violators will be warned and potentially banned. Moderators and Administrators Have the Final Word. Abuse against administrators will not be tolerated. The teams are only trying to do their best and will follow the set procedure. 2) We will remove any content that may put us in legal jeopardy, such as potentially libellous or defamatory postings. We are committed to non-violent, peaceful, direct and non-direct action expressing our right, under the Human Rights Act (1998) Article 9, to freedom of thought. We are against violence of any kind and respect each man and woman’s right to free thought. The administrators of this page will not be held liable for any action taken by members of the public, the men and women who contribute to this page, or their legal fiction. The administrators of this page oppose violence and incitement to violence. Offenders of any incitement to violence will be banned from the Stop Live Exports from the Port of Ramsgate page. Only material directly relating to Live Exports will be allowed on this page, unless special permission is granted by two or more administrators.
