Please note, these numbers are for borrelia Burgdorferi only, the genotype that IDSA and CDC classify as the ONLY genotype that produces Lyme disease. Thanks to Kerry Clark and others we now know we have at least 5 majorly different genotypes, americani, andersoni, burgdorferi, myamotoi, and bisseti, (what happened to that one?) with more emerging. (Milfords latest work has yet another one). With early reports of 1/10 ratio for miyatomoi/burgdorferi increasing, a large southern group of spirochetes and numerous types in ixodes pacific ticks, doubling and more brings the numbers up a lot. The trouble is that we really dont look for all the borrelial spirochetes. At best we currently look at a stupidly narrowed spectrum of antibodies, and failing to see that we can not see others with the filters we are using. Lane Poor #CureTheCDC
