Please pray for our little Charlie this morning. In just a little over an hour, they will be taking her back to the OR for her second open heart surgery. This surgery is desperately needed to keep her heart working, but all open heart surgeries come with risk. Being chosen to be her mommy and daddy was one of the greatest gifts that God has ever given Joslynn and I. Hopefully He has many more years of this journey as her parents here on earth in his plan. She has changed our lives more than we could have ever imagined, and touched the lives and spread love the world over. Last night as I tried to fall asleep with Sawyer in the bed along side me at the hotel, I asked her if she wanted to say a prayer with me for Charlie. She had been playing and restless until then, but immediately sat up onto her knees, put her hands together and was eager to pray. I started with Dear God and she quickly jumped in and said God... Char-lay... ayays! For anyone that knows her, ayays translates to owies. Then we laid down to sleep. A few minutes later she got back up on her knees and insisted that I put my hands together and pray again. It broke my heart knowing that she was so worried about Charlie and hadnt been able to see her for over a week, but I was so proud of her praying for her baby sister with such devotion and conviction at only 22 months old. We have been blessed with the most amazing three daughters, who each bring their own special love and blessings to this world. So please pray with us today that our three beautiful girls get to experience growing up together and sharing their love with all of us. Please Lord, watch over Charlie, her surgeons and all involved today and guide them to repair her ayays, because the world needs Charlie in it!
