Please read and support by signing the petition if you agree to a call for a review of Inequitable Access to emerging Treatments To date only 2 people in the UK can access Everolimus via NHS Funding. Everolimus has a license for treatment of TSC Kidney & Brain Tumours. Whilst there are ongoing research trials, not all who want to participate can do so, as they may not satisfy the set criteria. The current pathways to emerging treatments across the UK means that rare disease patients (including those with TSC) with greater clinical need are prevented from accessing potential life saving/life changing new treatments. The TSA is working for fairer access to treatment in all the UK Countries as Health is a devolved issue (England/Scotland/Wales/Northern Ireland each have their own and different policies & laws on Health) once fairer access pathways are established in any part of the UK it should make it easier to push for equality across the UK - the ‘write to lobby your MP’ is the base TSA push to raise awareness in England (and also to make MPs with constituents outside of England aware of the issues).
